Socoder -> On Topic -> Game Maker Games?

Hi, all!

So I've finished a game I've created in Game Maker, and of course, I've been looking to share it around. I found this site, which seems like a nice site, with some cool games, but I realize that the games seem to be mostly Blitz games.

So the question: Am I allowed to share my game made in Game Maker here, or is this exclusively 'Blitz' related site? I've looked around, and found no rules against it, but figured I'd better double check.

If your interested, you can check out the (windows only) game here:

And if I get the o.k, I'll share it on the showcase.

Contrary to popular belief, this is not a Blitz Basic exclusive site. If you removed it's owner (Jay) then it'd be almost entirely non-BB.

I'm one of the most active members and I personally don't like the language. If you look through some of the recent topics you'll see discussions on PHP, JavaScript and probably lots of Java references.

In the 'new showcase' section you'll notice you can select the language and platform that the app or game is produced for (I expect yours will be other).

and Welcome! \o/

Welcome DD

A lot of us met on a long-gone Blitz-Centric website (BlitzCoder) so even if we're not using Blitz, it tends to be a fairly common reference point, and you'll see folk using it in places where you'd probably normally see pseudo-code, mostly because we tend to "get it".
But yeah, like JL235 said, if I didn't do AGameAWeek, there'd be a whole lot fewer Blitz games in the showcase!

Post away, and then stick around!

Oh, and sign up for the newsletter, too, it's not just a rubbish pile of copy+paste like other website newsletters..

Welcome to SoCoder! I can't try it right now, but I'll make sure to give your game a shot once I'm on a Windows box. Post it in the showcase to remind me. Could be fun to play some non-Jayenkai games for a change

Seems people use Blitz here to prototype like Jay said, then shove off into another language. We all seem to be multifaceted, So having even more under the umbrella that is SoCoder would be healthy.
