Socoder -> PC Gaming -> UT Classic, anyone?

I finally managed to get my CD to install, so everything's happy again! And the game still runs the way it oughta!
Except now in a much higher resolution than I'm used to!

Woot!

But UT with nothing else is always kinda dull.. But, what else can be done.
Those silly websites out there have that really annoying "Click this map" "Now this one" "and this" to download each individual map.. And that's really no fun at all.
However, I've found a happy site, and am currently in the midst of "DownThemAll"ing a whole big bunch of maps.
Deathmatch first... I'm up to I!
More to go!

Once this is all downloaded, I'll set about dumping all the files into the right kinda locations, and making it nice and archivable for myself in the future. Because, I like UT Classic, but it sucks having the default levels!

Would anyone else be interested in this, at all?
Perhaps a great big torrent or something? (Filesize dependent, obviously!)

I'd be interested in playing on a SoCoder server, but I only play Assault, and the default maps are fine!

I'd also like to see a server for SoCoders. Like 9572, I only play assault. I can provide a server IP if we can agree on a time to play. Ping the master server, there are two DOG servers in the UK that are good.

For the record, adding 4.5Gb of maps into a single copy of UT probably isn't that good of an idea!!!

Use Firefox + DownThemAll extension, and start here..

BUT..
It really buggers up the game if you try installing them all.. and takes you sodding ages to do, too!

Jay's tip
1. Make a copy of UT Directory (keep the opening map, and the inexplicably needed "titlescreen" map..)
2. clear out the map directory
3. install everything else other than the unr map files.
4. Grab a handful of unr's, stick 'em in the map directory, load 'em up, play 'em, delete the rubbish, rinse, repeat...

Note : This might take you a while!
