Hard Drive crash

Rest in peace...

Oh well. Did I really expect my computer - an electronic product produced by greedy capitalists - to work perfectly even after minimal wear and careful treatment? Yeah, I think I did.

There's a very slight feeling of déjà vu. Where have I seen this before? Ah, now I remember. Apparently my motherboard is gone, only now, apparently my harddrive is gone.

Technology sucks. You can't rely on it, and I'm considering discarding all such products and joining the Amish. At least for another couple of weeks, while I wait for them lazy-ass technicians to return my computer having wiped out all data from the disk. But I've learned since last time! I've backed up my important stuff, so all is not lost -- woohoo!

My backup now performs Backup to D Drive, and Backup to Other PC, so I've got 2 lots of essentials.
..
It's all the other "Non-essentials" that I'm worried about losing..
'cos you know it's bound to happen soon...

Hope your PC gets better soon.

If your super concerned about your data, buy two hard drives the same size and a RAID Controller. Then setup the drives in RAID 1 configuration so they mirror each other.
