My absence

Someone might have noticed, but lately I've been quite inactive. I've skimmed through topics, but not really posted anything or participated in the Mud Chat.

This is because, during the recent time, my interest for game development has been fading away. I no longer have a lust for programming games and applications - I've tried to make some simple stuff, but I'm finding programming to be rather boring and monotonous nowadays.

I don't know if this is a temporary state, but I doubt that it is. Perhaps I'll return next month with new energy, motivation, and interest, perhaps not.

I won't be leaving completely, but I'll be a lot less inactive. I'll still hang around and see what happens to the site and the Blitzcoder bloodline, and perhaps visit the chat once in a while. Anyways, Jay, feel free to de-moderatorize me.

Nah, no need to demoderatorize you, there's not exactly an abundance of moderationorized requiring going on, at the minute!

And, I know what you mean.
This week, I've managed to do quite a fair bit of coding, but for a few weeks there I was in a bit of a lull. Not really getting anywhere with anything, half starting things, and getting bored really quickly.

Take a break, do something different, and come back when you're ready.

Sometimes 24/7 coding isn't all it's cracked up to be!

I find that i loose focus and willpower when i start doing the same thing over and over...

I tend to try and break things up so I'm only working for a set amount of time but that time is used effectively (at least that's what i always tell myself haha).

A breaks the best way to get the energy back... that and finding something fresh and new to work on (like mobile stuff or console coding)

Take a break, you'll get it back. I go back and forth sometimes, then when i get a great idea I'll be on it like bread and butter. Good luck in your journeys!

Hey, I know how it is. But it took me five years! LOL! It wont this time.....I am getting a bit burned out and have taken time off now and then and went to the park with the family and did some out door activities! Get out, do something different. No matter how much you like to do something, it can get boring after a while. So you have to pace your self now and then and take breaks. Or else you will burn out on it. Have fun!
