Well, that's me not looking forward to apple porting again I guess!

If I manage it, I'll write a how-to... ... One with words, code and pics that you can actually follow along with, and not a seven hour fucking YouTube video, or a 16,000 words, unreadable "Apple makes it easy!" pile of garbage!!!

That would be amazingly useful, I'd imagine it's probably a lot more in-depth with monkey also?

Nah, the way monkey works is it translates from Monkey-code to Target-code. In iOS's case, it takes the template project that Mark's created, converts the code to ObjC, and gives you an XCode project.

Open it up, change the name, and add the icons. .. Then add some more icons.. Then add a few more icons, and don't forget all the icons.

Oh, and the icons, too.

Then you hit the run button, and XCode does all your provisioning stuff...
It really is a smooth experience, with just this one giant fucking hurdle to overcome..
.. Bloody thing.

It was about five minutes between copying the folder from the laptop to the Mac, and having the test run on my iPad.
.. Then a good few hours pulling my hair out trying to get the damn thing to Distributioon mode!!!

Gonna be interesting trying to change my account over from company to personal, etc, etc in a bit I'm sure...

So, turns out that they don't do that, it's just personal to company and not the other way, so I've got to purchase a new license at the end of June, which is okay I guess, it would have been worse to find out closer to the time.

Aaaaah...
I think I've sussed it.

Right, the issue I was having was that, when you switch to "Distribution Mode", the Distribution provision certificate gubbins doesn't work with your iPad, and because you're trying to run it on there, it refuses to even DARE to compile it.

Today I sat back down, and the first thought in my head was "Perhaps that's because I'm hitting the RUN button.."?
I toggled the menus a bit, and got things back to what I believe is the "standard" set of options, and then instead of hitting that handy "RUN" button, I went to the Build menu (Where I usually just only ever click "Clean") and instead hit "Build".
Seemed the obvious route. If "Run" doesn't even compile, then force a compile without the run...
In my head, that made sense, and indeed it managed to compile a version of the game.
Oooh!
Zipped it up, and submitted it through Application Loader, and it didn't complain about the certificates this time.
I think I might've sussed it!!!

But, of course, I'll wait until the game's up on the actual AppStore before I declare that a success. We'll have to wait and see if it passes through AppleReview to be sure that I did the right thing, and didn't just randomly stumble upon some kind of "bypass" thing, or something! (Which, let's face it, is entirely plausible!!!)

SpikeDislike3 should be ready some time in the next couple of weeks.
I still have a bunch of levels to add, and a couple of themes need added.

I tried adding a couple of new themes, today, but...

They're bloody awful on the eyes, once they get shifting.
Gah!

Going to have to scrap those, I reckon. There's already enough themes that are "strainy" without me adding even worse ones!

Estimating a release date of June 17th, although whether that happens is more-or-less out of my control.
.. How long does Apple Review take, lately!?!

GAH!!!
For some moronic reason, "Promo Codes" have vanished from the iTunesConnect site.
I hope that's not a permanent change, 'cos trying to market things without them is going to be a bitch!!!

.. So, for the purpose of getting folk to test things, I've had to set Invisible Munky 2 to "free" on it's first day. Pain in the arse, but...

A) Invisible Munky 2 is out
B) My recent devkit is review-passable
C) Engine works fine on iPhone 6!
Woohoo!!!

Go grab my Munky!
