GfK	The air conditioning in my car chose today - of ALL fucking days, to decide it isn't going to work any more. Discovered after a bit of snooping that the coolant is literally boiling. Narrowed it down to either blocked radiator, dead water pump or faulty thermostat but I'm not fecking about in this weather - having it towed to the garage Thursday.

rockford	Checked the temp in the car at 5:30pm - 35degrees here. I don't think it's gone down much this evening I'm perfectly comfortable at 15degrees. Damn!

GfK	Thing is, 33°C here, is hot. Might not be as hot as Australia, or Kuwait, or Death Valley, but to us, it's hot. But what's worse than the heat, is the humidity that comes with it - sweating like a glassblower's arse just from sitting down and not moving. That's the worst bit.

GfK	Green Flag just turned up - in a van (knowing they were meant to be trailering the car to the garage!). Anywho, bloke had a look and quickly spotted that the crankshaft pulley has completely split in two! Trouble with that is that the belt slipping was causing the burning rubber smell, and because that wasn't working, it wasn't driving the alternator or aircon compressor either, hence the aircon not working. Waiting for a recovery truck now to take it to the garage, like should have happened two hours ago.

steve_ancell	Those compound crankshaft pulleys are quite some dumb shit, I know a few people who have welded the outer ring to the centre part when the two parts separate. Those compound pulleys also cost a lot more than the older one piece type.

GfK	Finally appeared at 3:30pm - six and a half hours late. Breakdown guy said Green Flag didn't even send them the job til 2:30pm! Makes me wonder WTF they've been doing since 10 this morning. As a consequence the garage won't have time to fix it today because the car won't even get there til they're about an hour off of closing time. I might write a letter.
