rockford	It's a platform game map editor. Why is the world going absolutely nuts over this??? Designing levels ceases to be fun very quickly. And playing others' marvellous creations does too - once you realise that most are shit. A La the most recent Mario Vs Donkey Kong.

Jayenkai	I've spent most of the past month making a level generator, and have had my fill of editing, but damn if I'm not picking this up!! Sure, I'll probably only get an hour or so out of it, but that's plenty enough for me! If I consider how many other games I've bought this year.. ... ....... Um... ... .... Fuck. Jayenkai	Kewly! Mario Maker arrived (EVENTUALLY) at about 3:30pm, giving me just over an hour and a half of "The big TV" time before The Chase came on. (Countdown's not currently on due to more bloody horse racing) FWIW : The whole "Gamepad" option was entirely defeated by the fact that the fucking battery on it only lasts about 2 bloody hours.. Seriously, who thought that was a good idea!? The game introduces level editing in a nice enough fashion, although it's nowhere near the level of depth that WarioWare DIY went into. There are only a few elements available on day one, and each realtime-day, they add more and more placeable objects, themes and other such stuff. "Keep 'em coming back".. A frequent thing in the world of Nintendo. There's a "10 Marios" mode, where you try to complete a proper set of Nintendo-made levels without dying. Complete each one, and it gets placed into the "Sample Levels" folder where you can edit/tweak it at a later point. And then there's the online level mega landscape, with so many levels your hair will fall out. Online, you can pick from the top levels, select by author, browse your "Followed" people (I'm pretty sure that's Miiverse friends, so me and Spinal should be able to see each other's levels..?!) I've made 4 short levels, only bothering to upload a single one of them, but I'm sure I'll be doing more as the available options open up.
