rockford	Jay. now that you've had the phone for six months would you recommend it? My son's 18th birthday is coming up and he's constantly complaining about his Galaxy Ace. So we though about getting him a new phone and I trust your opinion. He doesn't really ue his phone for gaming - it's pretty much texting, but the camera would likely get good use too. How is texting and what is the battery life like? He's an occasional user and most of the time his phone is left laying around. What sort of battery life has yours got? He's not OS centric and uses Windows 8.1 on his lappy. He wants a good, accurate touchscreen for texting (actually he wants a physical button phone, but that pretty much is a BackBerry and that's not going to happen due to their build quality and poor service). What's it like as an actual phone too? He doesn't really listen to music but he does like to hear game choons occasionally, so sound quality is somewhat important. Memory is not a killer - he doesn't really need more than 32GB (I know the phone has no SD slot). What about physicality too? eg weight, feel comfort? He doesn't ever put the phone in his trouser pockets, but does in his jacket. So, thoughts? If you don't mind

Jayenkai	My honest opinion. : It's a good camera. I would NOT recommend WinPhone as a primary phone. The thing's crashed half a dozen times. Sometimes it "forgets" that it has a touchscreen, so you completely lose all interactivity with it. Thankfully the Camera button means you can still take photos, but until you reset the phone (using a button combo, since you can't "power down" without touching the screen) you can't do Jack all else. I've had to hardware-reset it a fair number of times. This happens far too often, and I'm sure that if I were doing anything other than using the camera button, i'd've noticed it happening even more.. When we went to Nan's funeral, I muted the phone. (Ie, hold "volume down" until it vibrates) It took about a week of fiddling to fully unmute the fucking thing, since .. After mute.. There seems to be 100 settings all over the damn place, in order to unmute. Texts work fine, phone quality seems ok but I'm not a talker, so .. shrugs Contact list seems to randomly jump between "you have millions of people in your phonebook!" to "Here are the five people you manually added" without so much as a reason between the two different lists. Oh, and WinPhone is butt ugly. But that's just a personal opinion. On the whole, as much as I like taking pictures with it, (and, really, I DO like it as a camera!! Best camera I've owned!!) I really would NOT recommend it as a phone. ... Nope.. No siree.. Not for me! -=-=- ''Load, Next List!''

cyangames	Seconded, I have a Lumia 635 which I tried to have as my primary phone, but apps crash frequently, if it runs out of charge it loses the time and date which need to be manually reset. Best bet is to get a cheap Samsung S3 / S4. I've reverted to my S3 as my primary after a couple of months. -=-=- Web / Game Dev, occasionally finishes off coding games also!

Jayenkai	She's not a "Long haired" cat, just a regular-length-haired cat. The sun's REALLY beaming through the window, though, so she looks extra shiny! Little Shaun (The Siamese kitten from last week) had very short fur, though. Very boney, and not very fluffy at all!! .. Still cuddled up more than Molly ever has, though! -=-=- ''Load, Next List!''
